Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to express about his profound loss.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the killings, public individuals expressed divergent reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making controversial claims that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and remarked they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.
