Rob Edwards as well as O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Contenders

Edwards and Gary O'Neil represent the initial candidates under consideration to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend after the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the top-flight campaign.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have previous associations to the club - are among the options to be considered by the Wolves ownership.

Edwards is currently at another club, which would pose a potential hurdle to his hiring at Wolves' stadium.

Nevertheless the former Luton Town head coach - who played over a century of games for Wolves during his playing career - is said to be a strong contender for the position.

The mid-career manager is said to have support from the Wolves board as they begin the process of appointing a fresh head coach.

Gary O'Neil is additionally appearing as a surprise contender, although he would be a surprising choice considering he was released by Wolves in December last year.

The former West Ham midfielder is out of work which means the club would not be required to pay any buyout fee.
